Billed as ‘The World’s First Discovery Yacht’ the Scenic Eclipse promises to bring something very unique to the ocean cruising experience when it launches in August 2018.
This intimate, ultra-luxury ship will carry no more than 228 guests (200 in the Arctic and Antarctica) with an almost 1:1 staff ratio . The 114 private verandah suites have separate sleep and lounge zones with floor-to-ceiling windows and butler service.
Public spaces are designed to be equally alluring; from the serene Spa Sanctuary and multiple swimming pools to the collection of dining rooms, bars, lounges and outdoor terraces.
The Eclipse will appeal to the adventurous explorer as much as the discerning traveller. The ship has a rating of Ice Class 1A (Polar Class 6), the highest of any luxury vessel, enabling the safest navigation through Artic and Antarctic waters. There are many exciting destinations planned for this stunning vessel with specialist shore excursions expertly supported by the highly professional Discovery team. The small size of the Eclipse means visits to quiet and interesting ports, rugged coastline and deserted coves.
The ship is built to the highest international safety standards, making full use of the latest technology and state-of-the-art GPS dynamic positioning and a host of internal safety features. The innovative zero-speed stabilizer fins are 50% larger than standard for even greater stability.
For fun and adventure there are Zodiacs, kayaks, scuba gear, snow-shoes and electronic bikes; the Eclipse submarine will quite literally immerse guest in to their environment as it takes them below the ocean surface. Others may choose to soar above the ship on the private helicopter.
Scenic is a leader in all-inclusive luxury travel. The Eclipse is no exception with all dining, beverages, shore trips, wi-fi, laundry, leisure facilities, flights and transfers included – there will be no request for a credit card at check-in … just an assurance that all guests needs will be taken care of.
